The Symposium International Nursing Days on the theme The Present and the Future of Nursing and Midwifery is closing the first circle of nursing, scientific and international meetings. The tradition of these symposium begun in 2001 as so called annual South Bohemian Nursing Days with international participation. The head of the Department of Nursing, present Dean of the faculty prof. PhDr. Valerie Tóthova Ph.D. initiated with the cooperation of the foreign partner universities the organization of symposium so, that every following symposium is organized by the next university since 2008. The partner universities who have participated on those meetings are: Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra from Slovakia, University of Debrecen from Hungary and University of Rzeszow from Poland. The up to now evaluation shows this system of symposium organization as very contributing, with mutual meetings for solving common professional concerns.
Amasya University in Turkey became the consortium partner in 2011.

The invitation is addressed to representatives of education in nursing and midwifery, delegates from practice and to all who are participating on and are concerned in the development of these branches. The aim of this symposium is the finding the possibilities of further development of nursing and the improvement of the nursing care of patient.
